WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Eyelash extensions are used to enhance natural lashes by length, curliness, fullness, and thickness of natural eyelashes. Each individual natural lash is isolated and gets an extension custom fit to each clients eye. Eyelash extensions need to be properly applied by a certified technician who can adhere the lashes in a healthy manner. The extensions may be made from several materials including mink, synthetic, or silk.

AM I QUALIFIED TO APPLY EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Yes. I am a licensed master cosmetologist, and a certified eyelash technician. I have gone through an additional training and certification course for eyelash extensions. Being a certified eyelash technician means that I have been properly trained on how to apply, and remove eyelash extensions while keeping the natural lash healthy.

CAN I FILL-IN LASHES FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE?

I am unable to fill-in lashes from a previous lash techs work. If you'd like to become a client and currently have lashes on from elsewhere-you will need a full set. I will not remove and do a full set the same day, this will need to be 2 separate appointments.

HOW LONG IS A LASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT?

For an initial full set (100% coverage), the appointment can take anywhere from 2-2.5 hours which includes a consultation, prep, and application. A fill in (30%-50% lashes needing filled in) can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 60 minutes typically depending on how many lashes need filled in.

DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS HURT?

No! If applied properly, you will not feel them whatsoever! The application process is pain-free and sometimes so relaxing, that most clients fall asleep during the procedure.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN PREPARATION FOR MY FIRST FULL SET APPOINTMENT?

-Come with clean, makeup free eyes.

-Arrive on time (5 minutes before appointment preferably.)

-Try your best to not drink caffeinated drinks before!

-Be prepared to not get your eyes wet for minimum 24-48 hours after the appointment (so shower ahead of time/wash your hair if needed.)

-Have an idea in mind for what shape/style you’d like. We will have a consultation before any lashes are applied, but it saves a lot of time and gives me an idea if you have pictures for reference of what you like and dislike.

-Feel free to bring in headphones if you'd like to listen to your own music (I do have relaxing spa music playing). Also your eyes will be closed the entire time so reminder you wont be able to have access to your phone!

-Get ready to lay down, relax and have beautiful lashes!

WHEN DO I NEED TO COME BACK FOR A FILL-IN?

I recommend getting your first fill in within 3 weeks. If you wait too long, your eyelash extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Your natural eyelashes shed in between 2-7 natural lashes a day due to the natural growth cycle and are naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Every client is different, some need a fill in anywhere from 2-4 weeks, it all depends on each individuals growth cycles and how quickly/slow lashes shed. Other factors such as exposure to steam, touching your eyes excessively, or improper makeup products/cleansers may cause the extensions to fall out sooner which would require coming in sooner to get a fill in.

HOW DO I CHOSE A SET?

Before any application, we will have consultation first to see what type of style you are interested in. I also will determine what your lashes can hold in regards to length/size/density. Each person’s lashes will vary in strength and length. I take this into consideration when creating a look for you as well, to make sure I am only applying what I know your lashes will be able to handle. The integrity of the lashes are always my main priority!

ONCE I GET ONE STYLE/SET OF LASHES, CAN I CHANGE/CUSTOMIZE NEXT APPOINTMENT?

Yes! Any style/length/fullness, is able to be changed gradually during each fill in appointment if desired.

WHAT CAN'T I DO WITH EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

No pulling, tugging or rubbing/sleeping face down on the lashes

Do not pick or pull out lashes/attempt to remove them yourself

ARE FALSE LASHES FROM THE DRUGSTORE/SEPHORA/ULTA THE SAME AS LASH EXTENSIONS?

NO! False eyelashes (also referred to as strip lashes/falsies) and eyelash extensions are not the same. Eyelash extensions are applied to each individual natural lash and are permanent and are attached until the natural lash sheds in its growth cycle; meaning extensions can be worn through shower, sleep, workouts, etc. Strip lashes are used for daily wear and must be taken off after each use.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THE PROCESS OF MY APPOINTMENT?

After we’ve discussed what style you want, you will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed. I will then apply either an under eye gel pad or a lint free lash tape to cover your lower lashes. Then the extensions will be applied to each individual eyelash on a hair by hair basis to create your desired look! Feel free to bring in headphones if you'd like to listen to your own music (I do have relaxing spa music playing). Also your eyes will be closed the entire time so reminder you wont be able to have access to your phone!

WHAT DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LOOK LIKE?

With proper application, meaning one natural eyelash has been isolated and one or one volume fan extension is applied, the look and feel is completely natural looking and real. No one will know you have extensions, unless your desired look is a more fuller look. No matter the thickness/style the base of the lashes will look like you grew them naturally! No clumpy base line, they do not look like fake lashes! People will just think you were born with beautiful lashes!

EYELASH EXTENSION AFTERCARE

• Do not get lashes wet 24-48 hours after service. This includes showering, sweating, cooking around steam, avoid any excessive humidity possible.

• Be gentle! Do not pull/pick or rub on lashes.

• Brush lashes once a day.

• Do not use mascara or lash curlers.

• Wash lashes daily/every other day with an oil free extension cleaner.

• Never use oil based products on/around eye area.

• Never attempt to remove extensions yourself.

• If you want to use eyeliner, I recommend a powder or pencil (no liquid).

• Certain lifestyles may affect the longevity of the extensions such as but not limited to; excessive sweating, hot yoga, saunas/facials, allergy season, being around steam frequently, using lash serums, sleeping on face, using sleeping eye mask, etc
• Prebook future appointments ahead of time to insure time slot for fill-ins.
• A fill-in is when you've shed 30-50% of the extensions. If you've shed/lost more than 55% of extension this will be considered a full set.

WHAT IS LASH LIFTING?

Lash lifting creates a mascara-like effect on lashes without adding extensions. By using a safe, innovative eyelash solutions to curl and lift natural lashes for an effortless look that lasts weeks.

AM I QUALIFIED TO PREFORM A LASH LIFT?

Yes! I am a licensed master cosmetologist and I have also went through a lash lift & tint training and have a certificate in eyelash lifts.

IS LASH LIFTING SAFE? IS A LIFT THE SAME AS A PERM?

Lash lifting is essentially the new and improved "lash perm". Lash perming usually consists of cotton roller rods and a series of liquid solutions to permanently curl natural eyelashes; however, as the liquids are not easily controlled, and the solutions are dangerous to the eyes, lash perming is often considered unsafe. Lash lifting, on the other hand, uses specially shaped silicone shields to provide an elegant customized curl, and cream solutions that are safe, easily controlled, and fast-acting.

WILL A LASH LIFT DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

No! With a properly trained and skilled professional providing your service with correct proper products, you will not have any damage from a lash lift.

HOW LONG DOES A LASH LIFT LAST?

A lash lift longevity will differ and depend on each client. Typical clients results will last up to 8 weeks.

HOW LONG IS THE ACTUAL SERVICE?

Between 45-60 minutes. Times can vary depending if you are adding on services like; tint, or treatments.  

ARE THERE ANY EXTENSIONS BEING ADDED?

No! This is a service where only your natural lashes will be lifted and curled, providing lasting enhancement and definition without the upkeep of lash extensions.

WHAT SERVICES CAN I ADD ON TO MY LASH LIFT?

A lash lift has multiple great combinations that can be combined to fit each clients eye! A few great add ons are a lash tint, plumping treatment, or a Glaze repair treatment!

WHAT IS A LASH TINT?

A tint is a great way to enhance the color of the natural lashes by making them even more noticeable and bold! Tint color options include but are not limited to; light brown, medium brown, dark black/brown, and black! The color is customizable to each client! Tint can last up to 4-6 weeks!

WHAT IS A PLUMPING TREATMENT?

A plumping treatment is a service that is infused with 24kt gold solution that adds up to 24% density to each lash after three treatments, allowing the natural lashes to be thicker and fuller along with the illusion of length created by your lash lift!

WHAT IS A GLAZE?

Glaze is a nourishing solution, which holds the lash lift for longer and infuses key vitamins (including keratin) into the lash hair, while also depositing a color that can be completely customized for every client! Glaze is offered in dark brown, and black!

DO I HAVE TO TINT MY LASHES AFTER THE LIFT?

No! A lash lift can be customized to whatever the clients desire is! So if you are not interested in coloring your natural lashes with the lift, thats ok! We will discuss your lash wants before your appointment begins.

WHO IS A LASH LIFT FOR?

You may be a great candidate for a lash lift if you are:

Wanting an enhancement to your own natural lashes.

Don't want the maintenance or cost of eyelash extensions.

Want a more natural look compared to extensions.

Have lighter colored lashes, and want a deeper color and/or don't want to use mascara.

Have had reactions to extensions.

Have thinner lashes that without mascara look non-existent.

Have straight or droopy natural lashes want want a more defined curl and a fuller look.

Want to wake up and have perfectly curled and defined natural lashes!

WHO IS A LASH LIFT NOT FOR?

You may not be a suitable candidate for a lash lift if you have:

Your natural lashes shorter than 9mm in length or have none or little to none existing lashes. Or if you have major gaps between your lashes-a lift will make the gaps way more noticeable.

If you are undergoing or have had chemo in the past year (may need to consult with your physician. If you are unable to lay down with eye completely closed for 60 minutes.

Have had lasikk eye surgery (within past 6 months), or blepharoplasty surgery (within past year.)

Women who are currently pregnant; if you have an appointment already scheduled and found out you are pregnant, please notify me so we can reschedule.

Have pre-existing eye or eyelid conditions such as but not limited to; chronic dry eye, blepharitis, conjunctivitis or ocular rosacea.

If you currently have a contagious eye condition (example: pink eye, conjunctivitis, stye, etc.)

Are very sensitive or allergic to dyes (if you are unsure and think you may be I recommend to come in for a patch test.)

EYELASH LIFT AFTERCARE

• Do not get lashes wet 24-48 hours after service. This includes showering, sweating, cooking around steam, avoid any excessive humidity possible.
• Be gentle! Do not pull/pick or rub on lashes.
• No eye makeup for minimum 24 hours.
• Avoid oil based eye products.
• Avoid waterproof mascara. (Preferred lash lift mascara is Lash Lift safe mascara available @ Kylee Jean Beauty salon.)
• Certain lifestyles can affect the longevity of the lift/tint such as; hot yoga, sauna, eye products, facials/saunas, lash growth serums, sleeping face down on lashes, etc.
• Recommended to pickup an Elleeplex aftercare formula @ Kylee Jean Beauty. The aftercare formula is a perfect daily treatment to maintain optimum lamination results and brow health. helping eliminate frizzy hair while providing softness and shine to the brows. Enriched with amino acids and vitamin complex ingredients such as keratin, arginine, collagen, allantoin and panthenol.
• Recomended to book next lift between 5-8 weeks to insure a future appointment.

EYEBROW LAMINATION & TINT

WHAT IS EYEBROW LAMINATION?

WHO IS NOT A GREAT CANIDATE FOR A LAMINATION?

If you have: Psoriasis/ Eczema, Recent eye surgery, Alopecia, Recent permanent make up, Sunburn, Ultra-Sensitive skin, on any blood thinners, Pink eye, Scar tissue in the treatment area, Pregnant/Breastfeeding (elevated sensitivity caused by hormones produced during pregnancy and after/during breastfeeding. Elevated sensitivity can trigger reactions and also inconsistent results. It is ideal to wait at least 3 months after breastfeeding) and/or if you have had brow henna within the last 10 weeks.

DO I HAVE TO TINT MY BROWS AFTER THE LAMINATION?

No! An eyebrow lamination can be customized to whatever the clients desire is! So if you are not interested in coloring your natural brow hairs, thats ok! Some clients brow hairs can appear a shade lighter or darker depending on the natural thickness after the lamination once the hairs have been redirected!

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Prior to your brow lamination appointment, we recommend the following:

Avoid using exfoliants, retinoids, or AHAs on your face for one week before your brow lamination.

Avoid tweezing at least 72 hours prior to your appointment.

Avoid waxing 72 hours prior to appointment. If you have sensitive skin avoid waxing a week prior to appointment.

Please come to your appointment without any makeup on your face.

EYEBROW LAMINATION AFTERCARE

• Do not get eyebrows wet 24-48 hours after service. This includes showering, sweating, cooking around steam, avoid any excessive humidity possible.
• NO waxing brows for a minimum of 72 hours after appointment to avoid skin irritation.
• NO heavy skincare/creams/serums/retinols/exfoliants on or around brow area for minimum of 48 hours.
• Be gentle! Do not pull/pick or rub on brows.
• No eyebrow makeup for minimum 24 hours.
• Avoid oil based eyebrow products.
• Certain lifestyles can affect the longevity of the lamination/tint such as; hot yoga, sauna, eye products, facials/saunas, lash growth serums, sleeping face down on lashes, etc.

What is the quality of Hidden Crown Hair?

Hidden Crown Hair Extensions are made with the finest quality human REMY hair to add instant length and volume. REMY hair is the highest grade of human hair on the market. This is because the hair still has its outer cuticle layer and all the follicles face the same direction. This makes your Hidden Crown last longer, stay shinier, feel silky, and stay tangle free.

How does a Halo stay in place?

Instead of attaching directly to your hair, the Hidden Crown® uses the weight of your own hair that’s pulled over the wire to securely hold the extension in place. You can wear them throughout the day without having to worry that they’re going to fall out. We do not recommend working out, sleeping or swimming in your extensions as they are likely to get damaged and tangled while doing so.

Whats the difference between a Day Dream halo and a Hidden Crown halo?

Our signature Hidden Crown® simply has more hair and Thick Ends (double drawn). Daydream hair is about 35% less hair and has natural ends, like your own natural hair. Natural ends are the most common type of hair used in most extension brands. Very few companies sell double drawn hair because it is a much more expensive and rare hair. They are both made with the highest quality REMY hair.

How long will my Hidden Crown last?

The lifespan of your Hidden Crown®®will depend on how often you wear it and how well you take care of it. Your extensions should last a year or more. For the longest life, you want to avoid excessive heat, excessive brushing, and excessive washing. Do not use any heat protectant or styling products on the Hidden Crown® Hair Extension. Styling products have chemicals in them that are not meant for dead, processed hair extensions. Because of this, it is likely that these products will cause drying, damage, matting, and severe tangling. Anything you put in your own hair besides hairspray can rub off onto the extension so be mindful.

What is a Crown Topper?

A crown topper is a lightweight and easy solution for women with hair loss from stress, illness, aging or alopecia …or for those who want to wear the hair secret behind celebrity red carpet looks. Our Crown® Topper is a seamless, snap in extension designed to help women struggling with fine or thin hair at the top of their head by itself or on top of our Hidden Crown® for added volume and length. 85 grams of” 100% Remy human hair, hand-tied on breathable mesh. “Based dimensions 5.5” by 6.5.

How many pieces come with the Hidden Crown Clip-ins?

3 total pieces! The volumizer is double drawn hair like our premium Hidden Crown® hair line. It is the same thickness from top to bottom which will provide ultimate volume even on it’s own or in combination with the side pieces or with the halo-style extensions and/or Crown Topper®The side pieces are also 100% Remy human hair like our DayDream line. The thickness of the hair just slightly decreases toward the ends like our normal hair does allowing the side pieces to seamlessly blend with your own hair.The Volumizer is a quad weft (4 wefts not one) and the side pieces are both triple wefts.
